Interesting how the blind draws for heat match-ups can work. Steve David and Dave Villwock were matched up head-to-head in every heat in Madison. In Detroit, they never saw each other in the heat racing.

After the last heat, Go3Racing.com reports:
The team discovered oil all over the back of the boat after Jimmy shut it down just short of the pits and had to be towed back. The oil pressure was really low, and the resulting leak. The team is currently replacing the engine with the third and last allison brought to Detroit.

In the Unlimited Lights, racing in South Dakota this weekend, UL-72 Kayleigh Perkins took a heat victory and a second place in the "round robin" format. There are 3 preliminary heats and each team makes two starts prior to the Sunday afternoon Final.
Bruce Lowe captured a sequence showing Brian Perkins in the U-48 coming through roostertail turn in Detroit. Literally, running through the roostertail of the U-5.
