J. Michael Kelly drove the U-13 for the past few years and was the 2004 Unlimited rookie-of-the-year. He's been driving race boats for more than 20 years (amazing since he's not 30 yet!) and has made his mark in several classes, including:
- 19 World Speed Records
- 4 National Championships
- 9 highpoint Championships
- 21 American PowerBoat Association Divisional Titles
- 2004 Unlimited Hydroplane Rookie of the Year
Now that he'll be piloting the U-7, one of the faster boats on the circuit, it will be exciting to see what he can do.
