Future of Evansville Hydro Racing will be known in about a month

(Mick) Conati hinted some changes to the structure and types of events offered at the festival may be in the offing, but neither he nor Joe Wallace, GAGE CEO and president, would offer any specifics. Additional information regarding the future of Thunder on the Ohio and Thunder Air will be released in about a month, they said.

The group says two full-time positions will be created. The positions will be dedicated to festival events and marketing.

U-37 will continue racing; calls for improvements in officiating

(Billy) Schumacher explained there is an arbitrary process in the selection of the circuit officials each year. Although some are highly qualified, others may have personal conflicts or lack experience for the class which they’re judging. They are also unpaid to officiate. “Why not get qualified, paid officials with the credentials, direct experience and knowledge to fairly apply the ABRA rules?” he added.
