Roger was a great friend and will be missed. He contributed to boat racing on so many levels (unlimiteds, vintage & r/c) that it is hard to imagine a boat race without him being there. Farewell Czar, you will be missed.

When I saw Roger in Tri-Cities, he was so excited about the Museum's upcoming project to build the Wahoo, he was very much looking forward to it...

The whole hydroplane community - no matter if it's R/C or the real boats - is undoubtedly saddened by this news.

Peace to you, Czar. You will be greatly missed, my friend.

To David and Debbie, our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you.

Best regards,
-Nelson & Dawn Holmberg

Roger was a true boat racer and above that he was a devoted fan. I remember him when I first entered the sport working for Lucero on the Winston Eagle. Roger was there doing what Roger did. He worked on race boats. I will miss you sir... On behalf of the entire U-17 team our condolences to his family and God speed...
