Back on the water again!

|

Boats are back on the water, the slings are on the U50 Spirit of the navy, U10 Ahearn Rentals is also sitting in the water. The U5 formulaboats.com is changing out a motor, and the buoys have been replaced. Ahearn Rentals is now on the course, this is your second fastest boat here this weekend. David Bryant is doing some timing runs and is kicking it up a little as he begins to run down the front stretch. Running smooth through the west turn, winds have died down a little his speed for the first lap 144.633mph. Boat running very well through the turns, floating a little up the Ky side of the course. His speed for number two 143.189mph. Evidently setting up for racing. Slowing a little and cutting the course Bryant heads the U10 back to the dock.

U7 formulaboats.com is now on the water. Mike Allen taking his turn on the race course. His first lap appears to be a timing run. Speed on the second lap 146.788mph his fastest this weekend.

I believe the Ahern rentals will win 4 of the 6 races this year. Seattle 07 he came from way back in a preliminary heat and caught Oberto. I also think that Elam will be a front runner but the Ahern / York Heating will have the power to cover the Oberto and Elam. The U-3 however has more speed than all of em when their engines are running good.

What is the qualifying speed of the U-50

If Jimmy King can get his nose in the 1 or 2 lane, he will be able to pull the feild up the backstretch and as long as he is in front I see it as very difficult for Ellstrom, Oberto and York to get around him. I liken it to the Evansville race way back when the Joe Ricci Spirit of Detroit took them all out for 4 out of 5 laps in the final. If it weren't for lack of nitros oxygen he would have held em off and won. I think that was Tom D'Eath if I remember correctly

I think David Williams is at 145.225 but someone will correct me if im incorrect.

Can't thank you enough for the updates. Cell phone reception there is awful so I'm sitting at home wondering what's happening.
Keep up the great work...
Judy Allen, Mike Allen's Mom

Im pretty sure that Brian Perkins ran the 145 not david williams. Williams is too afraid to run that fast

I agree that Ahern Rentals will win a few races this year. They are a fast boat, have a good crew, and a great driver who is still learning. With the addition of Jon Rice and Mark Smith they are gonna be one of the teams to beat

Jimmy King looks the best handling the water...I will predict Master Tire in the final if the engine keeps pumping...PISTON POWER IS BACK...

The sleeper is Beacom Plumbing...they will pull it out in the final

Jean Therot has not impressed me as a starter in the finals. Jimmy King has and so has Mike Allen....wow it's weird to see us quibbling over who will win???? Remember 4 short years ago??? Viva the Hydros

If Mike Allen will begin to trust the boat and really open it up he could beat everyone to the first turn but with everyone so equal, whoever has the inside will dictate who wins this race

Well, lets all get some sleep and see who keeps it on the water tommorrow and who is ready to go for the final......GO MASTER TIRE....and then GO FORMULA BOATS MIKE ALLEN .. AND THEN STOP FREAKIN IT WILL BE BEACON..AHERN IN 4TH AND OH BOY IS IN 5TH ...who likes that prediction????
